Q. What does entrepreneurship mean to you?
BA: To me entrepreneurship is the ability to create something, nurture it and lead it. It’s about taking risks, taking on new challenge, being innovative, creating a path for others to follow and above all not being afraid to fail and picking up the pieces better than you started. The end point is to never to give up and be focused on why you started in the first place.
Q. What aspect of your work brings you satisfaction/fulfillment?
BA: Customer satisfaction. Once my customers are satisfied it only means they would come back and that means, with God’s grace, I would keep adding value and of course make some profit!
Q. What do you wish you knew before you started your first business or running your business?
BA. Well, all I wish was that I had started earlier instead of waiting around. Hence do not ever procrastinate your dreams.

BA. I would love to have dinner with Sheikh Mozah of Qatar.
Q. Raising capital to start a business is a major hurdle that most entrepreneurs face. How did you manage to raise the necessary capital to start Nouva Couture?
BA. The issue of financing my business almost ruined my dreams! It was very frustrating. But then again, it all boils down to determination and strong will. I was determined, so I saved up some money during my university days, but that was not enough. I had to write proposals and handed them to potential investors. On the other hand, I had the support of my brother all the way. I thank God for that.
Q. How can entrepreneurs be successful?
BA. Never lose focus, do not be carried away by the crowd, fame is not success and above all seek God always.
